Hi all! I have a BMW E70 3.0SI and a problem arose: the engine began to overheat. After the temperature error came on, I noticed that there was almost no antifreeze, so I topped it up. But after that there were problems with heating and overheating again. What could it be?

Hello! It looks like you could have several reasons. There may be a problem with the pump or thermostat. It is also worth checking for antifreeze leaks. Have you done any diagnostics?

Not yet, just a visual inspection.

If I were you, I'd start by checking the cooling system. The pump may be clogged or faulty. If possible, it is better to conduct computer diagnostics to accurately determine the cause.

Thanks, I'll try that. What about the thermostat?

If the thermostat is not working properly, this can also cause overheating. Replacing it is usually easy, but first make sure it is the problem.
